Registration of a Death

The Medical Certificate of Cause of Death (MCCD) will be issued by a Doctor and sent electronically to the Registration Service. Only once this MCCD has been received and logged by them can you make an appointment to visit a local Registration Office. At this meeting all the usual questions will be asked.  If a  ‘Green Certificate’ is issued – please ask that this be emailed to us, as your Funeral Director. Certified copies of the Entry of Death (often called Death Certificates) can be purchased at the Registrar’s Office at £11 per copy.
